This idea is quite simple. With independent candidates and controlled campaigning the entire process of voting will be less costly and a lot less complicated. In order to make open voting even more effective elections should be held more frequently (every 2 years for example), and always on the same date in order to avoid unpopular politicians holding onto their seats for as long as they can.
