Instead of travelling to London MP's would instead work from their own constituency. All sessions would be conducted remotely using video conferencing over the Internet. This would remove the need for MP's to be in the same physical location in order to discuss issues. Removing this physical requirement would mean there is no need for us to pay travel expenses, or mortgages on second homes for MP's. The time saved from travelling could be used to perform more duties in the interests of their constituents.
The Houses of Parliament have a lot of tradition associated with them. This tradition costs us money. I would like to see the Houses of Parliament open only as a tourist attraction. The history of the houses would be retained, and would serve solely as a source of revenue.
