Polititians having financial interests in other areas will always conflict with their work in parliament. Whether or not these people act on these conflicts in their own interests or in the interests of their constituents depends on the character of the politician in question. I feel that there should be no such conflict. With that in mind I believe that when somebody becomes a politician they should dedicate their time solely to that profession. Politicians should not be able to work for any other companies, own shares in companies, or accept "gifts".
