Open voting

With every member of parliament able to vote freely there is no excuse for them not to represent the wishes of their constituents. In order to be accountable to the people who elected them all votes should be recorded and be freely available. Constituents would be able to check a website for information on how their representitive voted in their interests, and at some point before each election (in a period of time before elections when parliament is closed) the information should be made available at public libraries.

Making this information open will enable the public to decide whether or not the elected member is representing them accurately or not, and vote accordingly at the next election. With more regular voting elected members will be even more accountable.
