Police

Police officers spend far too much time on paperwork. I believe we need to both reduce the amount of recording required by police, and also to have more of their paperwork done by civil servants, freeing officers' time to fight crime.

Police are also given targets. As ridiculous as it might seem they are apparently told to crack down on certain types of crime at different points in time. As a result we might end up with a massive crack down on driver speeding on dual carriage ways, whereas this is not a bad thing there should be local responsibility for assigning tasks rather than having to meet some national target.
